The Friend of a Lifetime

We all look for friendship. In this life it is hard to find a friend that will be there for you through thick and thin. Even if we never meet you personally we want you to know how to meet the friend of a lifetime. We can tell you this because we have met this wonderful friend and would love more than anything else for you to meet Him too. This best friend of ours is Jesus Christ.

Who is Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Jesus is the the bridge to God the Father. There is no other way to come to God, but through his Son Jesus.

Why Do We Need Salvation?

God is holy and therefore no sin can be in His presence. Sin is doing something wrong in God’s eyes. Romans 3:23 (KJV) reads, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Since we have all sinned we all need God’s forgiveness and salvation in order to live forever in Heaven.

Why Did Jesus Come Into the World?

God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to save us from our sins. Jesus’ taught us about God and how to have a relationship with Him. Jesus came to die on the cross to make a way for us to be forgiven of our sins, which is the first step toward a relationship with God.

The Prayer of Salvation

Romans 10:9-10 (The Message Bible) reads, Say with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord.” Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Then you will be saved. With your heart you believe and are made right with God, with your mouth you say Jesus is Lord. And so you are saved.

If you believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, rose from the dead, and want to accept Him into your heart as your personal Savior pray the prayer below.

Dear God,

I believe that Jesus is your Son and that He died on the cross for the sins of the world. I know that I am a sinner and ask you to forgive me for the things that I have done wrong. I invite you into my heart and ask you to forgive me for all my sins. I accept your forgiveness and welcome you into my life as my personal Savior. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
